My name is Matt Keller, and I’m the Head of Product here at Gain Compliance. I recently joined the team, and it’s been exciting as I’ve immersed myself in a culture that is singularly focused on a better experience for statutory accounting teams (as you well know from reading blog posts dating back almost a decade such as this one, for example.)

Coming off of the annual filing season this spring, we decided to try something new: we dedicated a week to implementing nothing but enhancements focused on the user experience in the application. The objective was not to tackle big features, but instead focused on smaller updates to our user interface that enhance the Gain experience.

As always, many of these updates are the direct result of feedback from our customers. So, while this initiative is new, it aligns with how we’ve always developed our Cloud-native application.

In a recent blog post, Gain CEO Burch LaPrade wrote about a new enterprise feature for managing user permissions. That feature set was developed in close collaboration with our customers as well, but, in that particular instance, he was surprised at how thoughtful the finished feature turned out to be.

I think these recent enhancements include some fun experiential surprises, and more than a few elegant touches that further distinguish Gain’s modern software from the legacy competition.

This work matters to us because we believe it’s important to be unsatisfied with the status quo. We are committed to listening to our users, and are dedicated to a philosophy of constant improvement.

And we’re so happy with the results of what we’re calling User Experience Week that we’ve decided to make it a quarterly tradition!

In the coming days, we will be communicating to our customer base and outlining ten different updates that came out of this initiative. If you’re interested in learning more about the Gain experience, check out one of our upcoming webinars, or set up a time for a guided product tour.
