About the Presenters
Connie Jasper Woodroof, Principal, CJW Associates
In the world of insurance statutory accounting, Connie has established herself as a pre-eminent thought leader. She has worked at the NAIC, as well as at an NAIC approved software vendor. At both organizations, she reviewed the quality of statutory filings, tested RBC formulas, and developed educational materials around ever-changing NAIC guidance.
Since then, she has developed statutory accounting and reporting courses for both carrier teams and regulators. She regularly presents updates at IASA events at both the regional and national level, and she is actively involved in the organization itself, serving on various committees, authoring educational materials, and serving on the Board of Directors. In 2023, the IASA awarded her their Speaker/Educator of the year award.
Since then, she continues to be an interested party in NAIC working groups, and consults for Forvis Mazars as well as the insurance industry as a whole.
