About the Presenters:

Tricia Henderson, Director of Accounting Policy and Regulatory Liaison, Gain Compliance

The knowledge, experience and expertise Tricia has developed over thirty years in the industry encompasses a variety of insurance areas including reinsurance, investments, risk-based capital, Solvency II and financial reporting systems.

Tricia has insurance and regulatory experience both from an insurer’s perspective and most recently through the establishment and maintenance of a cloud-based statutory accounting reporting software used by insurance companies to file their Annual and Quarterly statements with the NAIC. She works closely with the NAIC and state insurance departments to monitor, evaluate and communicate the changes that are being discussed and adopted by the regulators. Through her blog posts and other communications, Tricia empowers insurance professionals to stay ahead of regulatory changes and navigate the complexities of statutory reporting.

Prior to joining Gain Compliance in 2019, Tricia held management positions at Transamerica, where she was responsible for overseeing the statutory statement, audit and capital reporting teams. Tricia holds a BBA in Finance with a minor in Psychology from the University of Iowa and volunteers on the Accounting and Finance committee and Professional Development committee for IASA, assisting with the development and review of content for the IASA Xchange event held annually.

Barbara Arnold, Vice President, SS&C Technologies

Barbara Arnold joined SS&C in 1987 and has performed many roles including heading up Software Development, Client Support, Consulting, Pre-Sales Consulting, and Outsourcing Operations. She has worked with hundreds of domestic and global clients to streamline processing and support using SS&C’s systems, and is a specialist in insurance investment accounting and regulatory reporting. Currently Ms. Arnold is a Product Head at SS&C working with the development teams focused on Accounting, Reporting, Regulatory, Compliance and Alternative Investments across investment accounting platforms. Ms. Arnold graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies from St. Joseph College in West Hartford, Connecticut.
